HI all. Bummer news, the second memory stick picked up a virus (from a pretty nice hotel's "Business Center" too, Dammit) so there'll be no more blog pictures.
Meanwhile, in the sub-continent, we're in Puri in Orissa. We'll be here two nights and then head to the tiger reserve. We have a great place with a view of the beach. We're actually a few blocks away from the ocean but have a penthouse on the 6th or 7th floor with a spectacular view in all directions. It's good to be that high, because the mosquitos are nasty here - the kind that bite in the day and carry Denghi fever.
We did some sightseeing today with rented bikes, and will visit a "golden temple" in nearby Konark tomorrow. D. just went back to the room with a little Delhi belly - back to the Kaiser meds. Last night we saw a neat dance festival with dancers from several parts of India. A real Dana deal - we got an invite from our first hotel (one of the sponsors), but then checked out of that hotel and into another. We not only used the invite, but also the special bus they had for performers that were staying at the sponsor hotel, and VIP seats in the front row. They kept filming us and taking pictures of us because we were the only non-Indians there.
We saw them burning a corpse near the beach this afternoon. Pretty gross, but we'll see a lot of that in Vernasi where we'll head after the tiger park.
